Hoop Night is your daily preview of televised college basketball action. Sometimes I can't think of a snappy one-liner and wonder why I ever started the practice.
Don't Miss
Kentucky at Mississippi State - 9pm, ESPN
Are these teams living up to their hype? No. But are they in the running for an SEC championship? At this moment, yes. The Wildcats are 1-0 after taking down an excellent Vanderbilt team, awakening some life in the land of blue. The Bulldogs (who we loved in the preseason), are 2-0 behind a fairly balanced offense, and the ferocious defense of Jarvis Varnado, who swatted away an absolutely sick 10 would-be shots in Saturday's win over Georgia.
Watch if you Voted in Today's Poll
Cincinnati at Notre Dame - 7pm, ESPN2
Another game that might help make some sense out of the shifting sands of the Big East standings. Cincy is 3-1 in conference, which brings them up to a stunning 8-8 overall. Notre Dame played their first road game of the season on Saturday, ending a nine-game win streak with a painful loss to Marquette. Given the way this season has gone in the BE, I wouldn't want to lay money on who might get the W.
Tivo it and Watch The Flintstones
Ohio State at #11 Michigan State - 7pm, ESPN
I like my Koufos in a pita. How about you?
