Game of the Night
North Carolina 83 Georgia Tech 82
Luck will go along way in determining who will cut down the nets in San Antonio. In that case, North Carolina sure has a leg up on everyone else in the luck category. For the second time this season, the Heels won an ACC road game that they absolutely deserved to lose. Tyler's Hansbrough's 27 points bailed out the cold shooting Heels in this one close one against the Yellow Jackets.
Also Intriguing
Texas Tech 68 Texas A&M 53
That was not exactly what we were expecting to see in the Aggies first road test of the season. Nice to see that Bob Knight night took a moment to yell at this fans for not showing up when he was given the mic to celebrate his 900th win. Always classy Bob.
A10 Upsets of the Night
UMass 82 Dayton 71
Temple 78 Xavier 59
Don't think that anyone is going to walk through the A10 this year. The league is just as deep any conference in America. We got a prime example of that last night as the league top two squads went down hard. UMass picked up a signature win that it was sorely lacking in an upset of Dayton. You figured Temple was due for a least one upset with the combination of Dionte Christmas and Mark Tyndale, but they got this blowout win over the X-men by holding them to 37% shooting from the field.
Other Scores
