Finals Week is over, but still not much hoops on television tonight. With a solid week/weekend ahead, use this night to tie up any last second shopping you need to do.
Don't Miss If You Enjoy Watching White Men Shoot Jumpers
Albany at Duke - 7 pm, ESPN2
This game will almost be like an elevated shoot around for Duke's AWJSs as they prepare for Thursday's showdown with Pitt. The Great Danes of Albany have made it to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments and even gave UConn a scare as #16 seed two years ago, but not many are expecting similar results tonight.
Watch If You Can't Get Enough Freshmen
Texas Southern vs. Purdue - 7pm, ESPNU
Caught up in all this freshmen madness this season? How about a team that is made up almost entirely of freshmen? The Boilermakers, fresh off a victory over Louisville, usually start four freshmen. And those freshmen include leading scorer Scott Martin (11.8 ppg), leading rebounder Robbie Hummel (5.4 rpg) and leading swatter JaJuan Johnson (1.0 bpg). Damn youngsters everywhere. So much for TSU's plan of getting the whole Purdue team drunk the night before the game.
Watch If You Are Tied Into The Poinsettia Bowl
Navy at San Diego State - 10 pm, CSTV
Think that the folks at Navy were expected to be playing in the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego this year? The bowl game has a Navy tie-in as long and the Middies are bowl eligible, and this basketball game takes place a mere three days before the bowl game takes place. Not that I would be complaining about a trip to San Diego in December.
