Notre Dame 82 Pittsburgh 70
Gody is the star again, scoring 23 points in the victory over the Panthers . It's now a dead heat between Gody and CDR for my favorite player of the 2008 season. Irish remain unbeatable at home.
Big man: Gody 23 points, 12 rebounds
Washington State 69 Arizona State 57
Wazzou is back on a roll and quieting aiming for the #3 seed.
Big man: Low, 15 points, cool hair
South Alabama 69 Western Kentucky 64
Huge road win for the Jaguars (!), snapping the Hilltoppers 11-game win streak. Get leg up in at-large consideration in Sun Belt.
Umass 98 Rhode Island 91
The A-10 just continues to beat itself up. Rhody's once solid bid is looking very, very shaky at this point.
LaSalle 81 Dayton 78 (OT)
Again?!? The Explorers do it again! They can now assume the title of 2008 Official Bubble Buster, as they may ruined the seasons of both Saint Joes' and Dayton in the same week.
USC 81 Oregon 75
Win may have finally sealed up the Trojans' bid
Washington 75 Arizona 66
The Wildcats bid? Not so much...
Programming Notes: Lots going on in preparation for the battle of national (Memphis-Tennessee) and mid-major (Butler-Drake) supremacy.
Friend of STF David Scott is already in Memphis and will be reporting on the scene up until his courtside Posting up live-bog for CSTV begins at tip-off (they are also live-blogging Drake-Butler)
Another friend of STF, Kyle Whelliston, will be taking part in a Simmons-like mid-major marathon chat on ESPN.com tomorrow at noon.
Finally, our Bubble man/Pac-10 man BD will be live-bloggin' the Memphis-Tennessee game here on STF at 9pm. I think your social life can wait until March is over.......

this Rhody fan is starting to get very nervous. They need to win at least 3 out of their 4 regular season games at this point plus a A10 tourney win for 24 wins or do you think 23 wins will be enough for an ALB?
No offense to Marco and our other Philly faithful, but how the hell does URI end up behind Temple and LaSalle in the A-10? This is definitely going to play havoc with the selection committee.
I, for one, think they have to beat LaSalle and a couple of others. The Rams are in the sad position of their once-marquee win (@Syracuse) losing a little luster through no fault of their own.
I, for one am still rooting for the light-blue ram NCAA matchup - I'd like Rhody and UNC to face off at some point. And I don't want to live in a world where Parfait Bitee is sitting home in late March.
I, for one, have some rhetorical tics that I really need to work on.
South Alabama is actually the Jaguars. A common mistake, but one worth changing before some other pedant calls you an idiot.
Thank you Austin, sometimes I get my Jaguars and Panthers confused. Maybe I'll just go with Team USA from now on
