Kelvin Sampson's Phone Bill is Overdue

Looks like the hammer is about to fall on Kelvin Sampson and Indiana for his abuse of the free nights and weekends plan earlier in the season. The NCAA send notice of a major allegations to the university last week and IU is planning on making these allegations public at some point today. Word is the that allegations are much worse than the university initially reported back in November, with Sampson looping about his phone ban by texting recruits like 13-year-old girl. Any kind of punishment will not be handed down until late summer. Don’t expect any kind of postseason ban (sorry Purdue fans) unless IU ended up using an illegal player because of this. Expect all punishment to be directed towards Sampson and IU’s direction, which is the way it should be.

This is a huge blackeye for the Indiana program, and will greatly affect the next 2-3 years for the Hoosiers. This year appears to be safe, but it looks like these transgressions involved DeAndre Thomas (3-way calls were already proven to be made to him) and Devin Ebanks (a 5-star recruit for next season). If the violations go deeper than those two players, then the Hoosiers are in serious trouble. Bottomline folks, Kelvin Sampson needs to go. He got his chance to clean up his act and he failed miserably.

Yeah man, I'm shaking if I'm a Hoosier fan this morning. Enjoy this season, because next year will be sans Gordon and possibly sans postseason

I'd like to remind everyone that Cobra Brigade had this info about a month ago. Their only error was in predicting that it would be revealed right away.

Kudos to the Cobras.

Old men + text messaging or online chatting usual means something bad is going on. College basketball is no exception.

If you're going to contact a recruit, at least have the decency to call them.

Once a loser and a cheater, always a loser and a cheater. IU should have known better.
