Vote For The Mid-Major, End Boston D-Baggery

Every month or so, it seems as if someone is holding some kind "Best Blog Ever!" contest in order to receive lots of hits. After awhile, you just tend to ignore them. But this latest one by the fine gentlemen at Blown Coverage caught my eye for several reasons.....

- It's based on a 64-team bracket. As might imagine at a college basketball website, we have a thing for brackets. And none of that play-in game BS.

- STF is a #12 seed in the West region. A #12 seed! I could not have asked for anything better! Everyone's favorite upset seed. I also love that this makes STF a mid-major, which I truly believe we are next to the big money sites.

- And best of all, the competition. Our first round opponent, the typically "overrated" #5 seed, is Extra Bases, the Red Sox blog from Boston.com. Anyone who knows me knows that I hate the Red Sox and Boston sports teams with every ounce of my body. This is the perfect opponent for STF. Nothing against the fine men behind Extra Bases (I actually know the Boston.com bloggers for the Pats and Celtics), but I want to smash their faces in. I think they can handle not winning something for once. And don't even get my started on a possible second round match-up with Curt Schilling's blog. Seriously, I can't even process how much I hate that assbag right now...

So yeah, vote for Storming the Floor!
