Breakfast of Champions: 2/7

Duke 89 North Carolina 78

This game turned out exactly as we expected (or more accurately, how ACC correspondent Corn predicted). Duke shoots the lights out (13 treys), Hansbrough gets his (28 points), Duke's D shuts down Ellington (6 points). Excellent performance by Greg Paulus, whose improvement this season has been a direct correlation with Duke's improvement from last year. We'll hold off judgment on the Heels until Lawson is healthy.

Big man: Paulus, 18 points (6 threes)

UConn 63 Syracuse 61

One of these days, Jonny. One day you're going to finally hit that game-winning shot. Nice rally by the Cuse, but Huskies make it six straight. Thabeet gets our vote for most improved player in college hoops.

Big man: Thabeet, 7 blocks, many others altered

Notre Dame 95 Seton Hall 69

Irish could be battling UConn for second place in the Big East

Big man: Harangody, 22 points

Baylor 80 Texas Tech 74

Nice effort by the Red Raiders in Pat Knight's debut.

Big man: Jerrells, 16 points

Maryland 70 Boston College 65

Still cannot believe I'm saying this after watching them play in December, but the Terps might be the third best team in the ACC.

Big man: Vasquez, 25 points

Texas 64 Oklahoma 54

Bad news for OU, Longar Longar out for the season with broken leg

Big man: Abrams, 22 points

These puzzling A10 results are starting to rival the Big East

Big man: DU's Shawn James triple double (17, 11, 10)
