College Ball Preview A

Tennessee (14): What can you say about Bruce Pearl? The man is one of the best coaches in the NCAA but still has the time to do full body paint for a Lady Vol's game. His team that reached number one at one point last year has only gotten better. They have a true point guard now in transfer Bobby Maze, they have strong paint presence guys, they still have J.P. Prince to run and gun, and they have great depth. This is a team that may be able to break the perception that Pearl's teams can't go deep in the SEC and NCAA tournaments.

Florida (19): The Gators are ready to make another strong showing this year.

With Joaquim Noah and the two NCAA national titles now seemingly a distant past, Florida is moving ahead. Billy Donovan continues to be one of the best coaches in the NCAA and he is building, and has built, a strong team in Florida. The Gators lost their big threat in the post when Marreese Speights declared for the draft and they will have to rely on their strong recruiting class in that department. Only time will tell if their two six-foot-ten recruits can hold the middle this season. The Gators are young but experienced and if this year's recruiting class can have an impact like last year's did, they will make a run at the SEC championship and the NCAA championship.
